St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 103 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Derrick Shawn Kirt, 46, Franklin, LA, was arrested on June 23, 2023, at 7:58 am on five warrants for failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.
William Herbert King, 48, Verdunville, LA, was arrested on June 26, 2023, at 12:26 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft. Bail has not been set at this time.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
