St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jason James Ashley, 34, Baker, LA, was arrested on March 14, 2022, at 6:14 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of a schedule II CDS (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $6,000.
Derrick Matthews Turner, 41, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 14, 2022, at 9:37 am for criminal damage to property-simple. Turner was released on a summons to appear on June 15, 2022.
Shaqunia Marie Harris, 27, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 14, 2022, at 3:02 pm on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer by providing false information, failure to yield to emergency vehicle, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $6,000.
