According to WMBB in Panama City, Fla., a New Iberia woman has died as a result of a vehicle accident in Florida. On Thursday, Panama City Beach Police Department was dispatched to a medical call around Hidden Lagoon Golf and Racetrack.
When officers arrived, officers located a female identified as 49 year old Sherry Richie from New Iberia, La. lying on Front Beach Road in the westbound travel lanes, suffering from severe head trauma. According to reports, Richie apparently fell from a moving vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to officials, the driver of the Jeep was not impaired, and currently nothing suggests how they were operating the vehicle played a factor in the case.
This is ann ongoing investigation is being handled by the department’s Traffic Homicide Investigation Team.
