Margaret Mary Darcey Musso, 85, passed into eternal rest Monday, February 10, 2025 at her home in Wichita, KS. She was born August 31, 1939 in Franklin, LA, and was a longtime resident of Franklin until she moved to Wichita with her daughter in 2019.

On Saturday, February 22, visitation will be held at Church of The Assumption in Franklin, LA, from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM at which time, The Holy Rosary will be prayed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM. Fr. Jacob Carlin will be the celebrant for the Mass. Burial will follow in Franklin Cemetery’s Devotion Mausoleum.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Verret, Guy Musso, Gabe Musso, Nicholas Musso, Keith Carlin, Jr., Elijah Carlin.

Frank and Margaret were married on February 3, 1962. The couple were stationed through the United States Air Force at various places with Canada being their final stop, where they were blessed with their daughter and son. After five years, in August of 1968, the family returned to their roots in Franklin. Margaret worked as a bank teller at St. Mary Bank/Regions for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. Margaret’s Catholic Faith was of great importance to her. She was involved in the Catholic Daughters, Come Lord Jesus, and helped with the St. Joseph Altar. Her Pieta book was always found very near to her. Her favorite way to pass time was by crafting. She enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting, and embroidering. She was a fabulous seamstress and maker of jewelry. She was always gifting handmade items to those she loved.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Ann (Keith) Carlin; son Guy (Daphne) Musso; seven grandchildren Keith (Richelle) Carlin, Jr.; Darci (Jeremy) Shideler;  Fr. Jacob Carlin; Blaike (Aaron) Dumas; Gabe Musso; Nicholas (Lauren) Musso; and Ava Musso; and 13 great-grandchildren Elijah, Avery, Jayce, and Aubrey Carlin, with one on the way; Anastasia, Maggie, Caroline, Paul, Joel, Leo, Remy, and Isabel Shideler; and Asher Dumas.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Frank N. Musso; her parents Gabriel Darcey and Jeanne (Greaux) Darcey; and one sister Teresa Darcey Verret.
