Labadieville Man Charged with Armed Robbery

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Christopher Gregory Knockum, 32, of 115 Birch Street, Labadieville, LA, on felony armed robbery charges following an incident in Labadieville.

On Monday evening, deputies and detectives were dispatched to the Labadieville Quick Stop on LA 1 in connection to an armed robbery. The complainant advised that an individual entered the store with a firearm and demanded money at approximately 8:16 p.m. The suspect left the store on foot. The robbery netted the suspect a very minimal amount of cash.

A flurry of deputies flooded the area within minutes and initiated their investigation.

At 8:51 p.m. Christopher Gregory Knockum was detained, and he was subsequently arrested.

As the investigation developed, search warrants were executed. As a result of that search warrant, investigators recovered a significant amount of physical evidence.

Christopher Gregory Knockum was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

  • Armed Robbery (With a Firearm)

Christopher Gregory Knockum remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
