Howard Ray Parson, 68, a resident of Patterson, LA and native of Bastrop, LA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday January 20, 2021 at 5:59 PM at Ochsner Medical Center – Jefferson Campus.
A public viewing will be conducted from 11:00 AM until dismissal services at 12:00 Noon on Monday, February 1, 2021 at Jones Funeral Home 715 Sixth Street Morgan City, LA. Pastor Robert Jones will officiate the services. (All visitors are asked to adhere to the CDC/local regulations by wearing masks and practicing social distancing). Burial will follow funeral services in the New Salem Cemetery – Home Industrial Side in Patterson.
Memories of Howard will forever remain in the hearts of his devoted companion & mother of his children, Rita Variet; two sons, Anthony Variet of Patterson, LA and Levar Variet of Opelousas, LA; two daughters, Sharon Variet of Rayne, LA and Brittany Variet of New Iberia, LA; three brothers, Mack Parson and Charles Parson both of Bastrop, LA and Henry Parson of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Rosie Kingyon of Kansas City, MO and Queen Lewis of Bastrop, LA; twelve grandchildren, one which was his caretaker and asistiant, Brennan Variet and a hsot of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister.
