Ernestine Ann Johnson Higgins Olds, a native and lifelong resident of Charenton, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the age of 87.
Ann, as she was lovingly known by all, was born on August 20, 1936 and was the eldest of three children born to the union of Charles and Ernestine Johnson. She also had a love of cooking and baking, sharing talents with others, and traveling. This side of eternity will be a lot less bright without her beautiful presence.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family she leaves behind; her grandson, Richard “Joey” Higgins and his wife Sarah Higgins; her granddaughter, Sherry Pinell and her husband Cody; numerous great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Those she is reunited with include her first husband, James “Hockey” Higgins Sr.; her second husband, Charles L. Olds; her five children, Richard “Ricky” Higgins, Vernon “Bubba” Higgins, David Higgins, James “Jamie” Higgins Jr., and Elaine Ann “Lulu” Higgins; her parents, Charles L. Johnson Jr. and Ernestine Darden Johnson Walls; and her brothers, Will James “Jimmy” Johnson and Charles Sterling “Toupee” Johnson Sr.
