Charles Elie Judice, 77, passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, just eight days shy of his 78th birthday.

Charles was born in Franklin on January 10, 1943 to Elie A. Judice and the former Louise Sikes. He worked for over 40 years as a Lab Technician at Franklin Foundation Hospital retiring in 2006. Charles also held his pilot’s license for many years and flew for the Civil Air Patrol. Following retirement Charles never looked back. Being an avid golfer, he enjoyed playing golf every day. If the golf course was open and the weather cooperated you could bet he was there swinging the clubs. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Those he leaves to cherish his memory include his wife, Shirley Blanchard Luke; his three daughters, Angie Judice Alex, Charlotte Judice Legendre and husband Duane, and Suzanne Judice Stirling and her husband Stephen; his grandchildren, Olivia Alex, Janey Robicheaux, Grace Alex, Elizabeth Lawton and her husband Nicholas, Brendan Terry and his wife Chelsie, Sarah Stirling, C. Taylor Stirling II, and Phillip Charles Stirling; great grandchildren, John Robicheaux, Gabriel Lawton, Charlotte Lawton, Elijah Lawton, Lillian Lawton, and Jett Terry; step-daughters, Paula Luke Brown and her husband Norman and Elizabeth Luke Irishkov and her husband Alex, step-grandchildren, Emily Brown, Norman Brown III, Paul Irishkov, Ivan Irishkov, and Anna Irishkov; his sister, Anna Lee Bourgeois; his brother, Lee Roy Judice; as well as numerous niece, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elie Antoine Judice; his mother, Louise Sikes Judice; and his siblings, Donald Judice, Robert Judice Sr., Harold Judice, Goldie Viator, Nelda Martin, and Margaret Harris.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021, at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin during a 12:00 noon Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass he will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Peter Emusa will be the Celebrant for the Mass which will be live streamed. Taylor Stirling, Phillip Stirling, Duane Legendre, Nicholas Lawton, and Herb Stanley. The family asks that visiting hours be observed Thursday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until Mass time at 12:00 noon.
