Bayou L’Ourse Man Arrested for Felony Drug and Child Pornography Charges

Sheriff Leland Falcon of Assumption Parish announced the arrest of 43-year-old Luke Joseph Legnon from Bayou L’Ourse following an investigation into child pornography and drug charges by the Sheriff’s detectives. The investigation began on August 30, 2023, after receiving a tip about child pornography.

Detectives were granted a search warrant for Legnon’s residence at 130 Legnon Court, which was executed on October 10, 2023. During the search, deputies discovered methamphetamine and arrested Legnon on a felony possession charge. Further investigation led to an arrest warrant for four counts of pornography involving juveniles.

Legnon was taken into custody at the Assumption Parish Detention Center on October 10 and charged with possession of methamphetamine. On October 11, he was charged with four counts of pornography involving juveniles, requiring him to register as a sex offender. Legnon remains detained awaiting a bond hearing.
