Assumption Arrest Report 8-9-2022

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports that on Thursday, August 4, 2022, the Assumption Parish School District participated in Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events Training (C.R.A.S.E.) under the direction of the Sheriff’s Office S.W.A.T. Unit.

The School District trained in numerous aspects related to active shooters and how to deal with this situation if it were to present itself in any of our learning institutions. The district was trained in the A.D.D. (Avoid Deny Defend) method for active shooter events and showed multiple tools that could be used to secure their classrooms in case of an event.


NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Colby Lamar Dixon, 33, of 142 Highway 400, Napoleonville, LA, after deputies responded to a disabled vehicle complaint near LA 1 and LA 400 early Sunday.

Deputies arrived at the location south of Napoleonville and located Colby Lamar Dixon sleeping in his vehicle. Deputies requested a criminal records / warrant check on Dixon which indicated that Dixon was wanted on a felony fugitive warrant from Lafourche Parish.

Colby Lamar Dixon was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Fugitive Warrant – Lafourche Parish for Second Degree Battery

Colby Lamar Dixon was released to the custody of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office on Sunday.


PLATTENVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Colton Joseph Key, 23, of 201 Heriard Street, Plattenville, LA, after deputies responded to a complaint at the aforementioned address early Sunday.

Deputies made contact with Colton Joseph Key and inquired with the Communication Division to determine if any warrants existed on Key. It was determined that Key was wanted on a warrant for Failure to Appear in East Baton Rouge Parish.

Colton Joseph Key was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

*Failure to Appear – East Baton Rouge Parish on Charges of Possession of a Schedule IV Substance to Wit: Xanax (Alprazolam)

Colton Joseph Key will be transferred to the custody of East Baton Rouge Parish.
