A Napoleonville woman was arrested Monday after deputies investigated a complaint that she shared another person’s private images on social media without permission, according to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Leland Falcon said deputies received the complaint on September 21.
Investigators allege that Rayana D. Johnson, 22, obtained the images unlawfully and shared them with other people through social media.
Deputies obtained an arrest warrant and took Johnson into custody at her home. She was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on a charge of non-consensual disclosure of a private image.
Johnson remained jailed pending a bond hearing as of the Sheriff’s Office’s September 22 release.
