GOLDEN MEADOW, La. — A Golden Meadow man has been arrested on four counts of first-degree rape following an investigation involving a juvenile, according to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre and Golden Meadow Police Chief Michelle Lafont.
Authorities identified the suspect as 40-year-old Randy Delatte, who was taken into custody early Wednesday morning, September 2, 2026.
The investigation began in August after a Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office school resource officer assigned to a Golden Meadow school learned that a juvenile had allegedly been sexually abused by an adult male from her neighborhood.
Investigators later identified Delatte as the alleged suspect and determined that the reported sexual contact allegedly occurred at four separate locations.
Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Delatte’s arrest.
Delatte was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex on four counts of first-degree rape. His bail has been set at $1 million.
