Mickey W. Pearson, 89, a native and resident of Berwick, passed away on April 12, 2025.
Mickey was born and raised in Berwick to former Berwick Town Marshall Milton H. Wilson and Eva Landers Wilson, both of Berwick.
Mickey was a special individual that was treasured by so many people. She was a social butterfly who enjoyed gathering with friends or family, and she especially loved it if both were there. She enjoyed going to the Golden Angels, having friends over for luncheons and coffee, and shopping to her heart’s content. She had a unique talent for thrifting and could always spot the quirkiest trinket items and quite often those were carefully picked out to gift to those she loved.
Mickey never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew her. She was quick-witted, sharp and funny. She loved her family and friends fiercely. Mickey was blessed with many friends and had an adventure-filled life with Donald.
Mickey was preceded in death by her husband, Donald, her parents, and four siblings, Louis Hughes, Janice Landry, Timmie VanPelt and Dawn Berry.
Mickey will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children with her first husband (Dr. Dudley Landry), Greg Landry and wife, Lisa of Lafayette, Claire Howey and husband George, of Meeker, Colo., and Stephanie Walsh of Lafayette; five grandchildren Kyle Howey (Steffanie), Tyler Howey (Sara), Shannon Whitehead (Ken), Sarah Walsh and Sean Walsh; one great-grandson, Colter Howey, and three great-granddaughters, Riley, Magnolia and Lainey Howey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on April 15, 2025, at First United Methodist Church in Berwick from 9:30am – 11:30am with a service at 11:30. Pall-bearers will be Kyle Howey, Tyler Howey, Sean Walsh, Brian Berry, Bert Berry and Scott Berry. Honorary Pall bearer will be Dean Landry.
