The Franklin Police Department responded to 2 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
Cory Pierce, 38, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 13, 2024, at 2:33 PM, on a warrant for Third Ward City Court for failure to appear on the charges of running at large prohibited – 2 counts, and a warrant for City Court of Morgan City for failure to appear on the charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. Pierce was additionally arrested on the charges of possession of schedule II narcotics (methamphetamine) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pierce was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Anthony Wells, 71, of Antigo Alley, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 13, 2024, at 5:19 PM, on a warrant dated July 7, 2024, for theft. Wells was booked, processed, and released on a $1,500.00 bond.
