St. Mary Parish School Board To Move Forward In Filling District 4 Seat Vacated By Rack

The St. Mary Parish School Board will meet in special session on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, in an effort to begin moving forward to fill the spot of former District 4 member Pearl Rack. Rack resigned from her position, on the board, two weeks ago. She cited “personal issues” as her reason for resigning.

The Board is expected to approve a Declaration of Vacancy on Tuesday night and also a Proclamation calling for a Special Election to fill the vacancy. You can view the Agenda for the meeting below.
