Investigators with the Morgan City Police Department Detectives Division began an investigation on May 24, 2022 regarding the Possession of Child Pornography. According to the reports, Keith E. Taylor was identified as the subject possessing the Child Pornography. Evidence was uncovered that day when Taylor was arrested for a sole count of Pornography Involving Juveniles.
The investigation continued as investigators conducted forensic downloads of the devices seized. Investigators were able to locate an additional 107 files that contained pornography involving juveniles, with nearly half of them involving juveniles under the age of 13. Investigators also uncovered 23 files that contained pornography involving animals. Warrants were obtained for Taylor’s arrest for the additional counts.
Taylor was located and arrested at the Morgan City Jail where he remains incarcerated.
The investigation is still ongoing.
