UPDATE FROM ST. MARY PARISH SCHOOLS
St. Mary Parish Schools will remain closed on Friday, January 24 due to ongoing water pressure and road condition issues. Classes will resume on Monday, January 27.
St. John Elementary and Hanson Memorial High School will remain closed on Friday.
UPDATED AS OF THURSDAY, JANUARY 23, 2025
Cypress Point Fresh Market will open at 10:00 am.
Rouses in Morgan City will be open from 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Cannata’s in Morgan City opens at noon.
Centerville Market is open.
Walmart in Bayou Vista opens at 2:00 pm.
Walmart Neighborhood Market in Morgan City opens at 10:00 am, pharmacy opens at 1:00 pm.
Walmart in Franklin plans to open no later than 2:00 pm, possibly earlier.
Super 1 Foods in Franklin is open.
Raintree Market in Charenton is open until 7:00 pm
Pierre Part Store is open until 8:00 pm

 

Assumption Parish Schools will remain closed through Friday, January 24.

Nicholls State University will remain in remote operation for Thursday, January 23, 2025,

Sixteenth Judicial District Court, Court offices and Clerk of Court offices in Iberia, St.
Martin and St. Mary Parishes will remain closed on Friday.

 

St. Mary Parish Government Administrative Offices will be closed Monday, January 20 in observance of MLK Day and Tuesday, January 21 due to anticipated winter.

Harold J. “Babe” Landfill in Berwick will close at noon on Monday and will be closed on Tuesday.

The St. Mary Parish Council Meeting scheduled for Wednesday, January 22 has been canceled.

Louisiana State offices will be closed on Tuesday, January 21.

The Franklin City Council meeting has been rescheduled from Tuesday, January 21 to Tuesday, January 28.

Franklin City Hall will be closed on Tuesday, January 21. Essential employees will remain active to assist the city during this deep freeze. For emergencies, please call 911. For non-emergencies, contact the Franklin Police Department at (337) 828-1716 which will remain in contact with essential personnel in all departments during this winter storm.
