Two Arrested In Assumption Armed Robbery Case; More Arrests Expected

LABADIEVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reported the arrests of Demetric Royal Nelson, Jr., 23, of 111 Violet Street, Labadieville, LA and Eugene Holly, 32, of 3376 Back Marais Lane, Napoleonville, LA, on felony charges related to a recent armed robbery in Assumption Parish.

On February 26, 2016, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Detectives received information from the Thibodaux Police Department detectives regarding an armed robbery that occurred in Assumption Parish.

There was certain video evidence provided to Sheriff’s detectives in which they were able to identify the victim.

The unreported armed robbery is alleged to have taken place on February 25, 2021 in the 100 block of Violet Street.

Detectives were able to identify a number of suspects and secured arrest warrants.

On March 3, 2021, detectives arrested Demetric Nelson. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:

  • Armed Robbery

Demetric Nelson remains incarcerated on a $150,000 bond.

Eugene Holly turned himself in to the Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday and he was booked on a charge of:

  • Armed Robbery

Eugene Holly remains incarcerated on a $150,000 bond.

Additional arrests are likely in this matter.
