KQKI News has learned that Traci-Tierney Ponder, the former St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, has passed away after a lengthy illness.

In a statement released Thursday afternoon, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office paid tribute to Ponder,

“𝖨𝗍 𝗂𝗌 𝗐𝗂𝗍𝗁 𝖺 𝗁𝖾𝖺𝗏𝗒 𝗁𝖾𝖺𝗋𝗍 𝗍𝗁𝖺𝗍 𝖨 𝖺𝗆 𝗎𝗉𝖽𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗇𝗀 𝗒𝗈𝗎 𝗈𝗇 𝗍𝗁𝖾 𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗍𝗎𝗌 𝗈𝖿 𝗈𝗎𝗋 𝖿𝗈𝗋𝗆𝖾𝗋 𝖯𝗎𝖻𝗅𝗂𝖼 𝖨𝗇𝖿𝗈𝗋𝗆𝖺𝗍𝗂𝗈𝗇 𝖮𝖿𝖿𝗂𝖼𝖾𝗋, 𝖳𝗋𝖺𝖼𝗂 𝖳𝗂𝖾𝗋𝗇𝖾𝗒-𝖯𝗈𝗇𝖽𝖾𝗋𝗌.
