St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Joseph Lee Robertson Sr., 57, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on May 9, 2022, at 10:39 am for battery/second-degree. Robertson continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Juvenile Male, Franklin, LA, was arrested on May 9, 2022, at 10:06 am on a warrant for sexual battery. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
NARCOTICS SECTION
Edwin Young Jr., 42, Charenton, LA, was arrested on May 9, 2022, at 9:40 pm on a warrant on the following charges:
- Window tint violation
- Improper display of license plate
- Flight from an officer
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- FTA warrant: criminal damage to property-simple
Young was released on a $4,500 bond.
Christopher Haynes Sr., 39, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on May 9, 2022, at 11:58 am on four warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:
- Possession of marijuana
- Failure to maintain automobile liability insurance
- Operating a vehicle with an unlit license plate
- Possession of a schedule II CDS (methamphetamine)
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Improper lane usage
- Speeding
Bail has not been set.
Kristi Adams, 42, Berwick, LA, was arrested on May 9, 2022, at 11:58 am on two warrants for failure to appear on the charges of possession of carisoprodol and possession of methamphetamine. Bail has not been set.
