St. Mary Arrest Report 4-17-2023

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 87 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Charles Joseph Berger, 33, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 14, 2023, at 1:32 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Improper lane usage
  • Possession of alprazolam
  • Speeding

Bail has not been set at this time.

Julie Ann Crowell, 59, Charenton, LA, was arrested on April 15, 2023, at 5:59 pm on an MCPD warrant for failure to appear on the charge of battery-second degree. Crowell is being held for another agency.

Ricky James Watts, 34, was arrested on April 14, 2023, at 11:36 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of battery of a dating partner. Bail has not been set at this time.

Brittney Nicole Fisher, 32, Bayou Vista, was arrested on April 16, 2023, at 8:34 pm for possession of legend drug without a prescription and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail has not been set at this time.

Ronald Joseph Grow, 50, Bayou Vista, was arrested on April 16, 2023, at 9:33 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $1,290.

David Tyrone Francois, 51, Morgan City, was arrested on April 17, 2023, at 4:18 am for battery-simple, failure to register as a sex offender, and on five warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoids with intent to distribute
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Illegal use, consumption, possession, or distribution of CDS in presence of persons under the age of 17
  • Distribution of cocaine
  • Violation of CDS law
  • Speeding
  • Battery of a dating partner-strangulation
  • Theft
  • Violation of protective order

Bail has not been set at this time.

All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
