St. Mary Arrest Report 4-12-2021

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 106 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Russell Lee Pfotenhauer, 39, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2021, at 2:07 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of schedule II drugs

Pfotenhauer also held a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • No seat belt
  • Failure to honor written promise to appear

Pfotenhauer was released on an $8,625.00 bond.

Constance Nicole Bertrand, 32, Berwick, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2021, at 2:07 pm on the following charges:

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of schedule V drugs

Bertrand also held a warrant for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Possession of marijuana

Bail has not been set.

Geraldine M. Sifuentes, 55, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2021, at 12:49 pm for possession of marijuana. Sifuentes was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Mary Helen Sharp, 30, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 9, 2021, at 11:50 pm for driving while intoxicated-2nd offense and resisting officer or arrest. Bail has been set at $7,500.

Kurt Anthony Chapman, 34, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2021, at 9:49 am for improper lane usage, no driver’s license on person, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Chapman was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Lilly Touchet, 29, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2021, at 9:49 am for possession of drug paraphernalia. Touchet was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Graline Dan Robertson, 25, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2021, at 11:21 am for possession of marijuana and turning movements and required signals. Robertson was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Malachi Michael Louviere, 31, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2021, at 12:52 pm for no seat belt, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Louviere was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Juvenile Male, 16, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on April 11, 2021, at 3:03 pm for ungovernable juvenile. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Bannon Lee Lightsey, 28, Patterson, LA, was arrested on April 10, 2021, at 7:20 pm for animal complaint.  Lightsey was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Rusty Michael Curole, 35, Galliano, LA, was arrested on April 11, 2021, at 12:01 pm on the following charges:

  • Driving under suspension
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Obedience to peace officers, weights and standard
  • Proper equipment required on vehicles
  • Possession of methamphetamines
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of heroin

No bail has been set.

Henry Wayne Truelove Jr., 36, Charenton, LA, was arrested on April 11, 2021, at 6:18 pm for possession of marijuana. Truelove was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Sabrina Joella Bagala, 42, Charenton, LA, was arrested on April 11, 2021, at 6:18 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bagala was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

Dakota J. Lombas, 25, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on April 11, 2021, at 9:24 pm for possession of marijuana and proper equipment required on vehicles. Lombas was released on a summons to appear on July 22, 2021.

K9 SECTION

Reginald Howard Layton, 41, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on April 11, 2021, at 1:59 am on the following charges:

  • Driving under suspension
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of schedule II drug with intent to distribute
  • Possession of schedule I drugs
  • Possession of schedule II drugs
  • Possession of schedule IV drugs
  • Violation of protective orders
  • Possession of firearm in presence of CDS

A K9 deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle and made contact with the driver, Layton. During the stop, dispatch confirmed that Layton’s license was suspended. K9 Chara was deployed to conduct an open-air sniff around the vehicle and showed a positive odor response. The K9 deputy subsequently located crack cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy pills, xanbars, oxycodone, and hydrocodone inside the vehicle along with a semi-automatic pistol.

Dispatch advised that Layton had a protective order against him and should not be in possession of a firearm.  Dispatch further advised that Layton held an active warrant from Beaumont, Texas.

Layton was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail has been set on the charges and Layton will also be held for another agency.
