St. Mary Parish Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Luis Alfredo-Hernandez, 26, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 10, 2022, at 2:19 pm for domestic abuse child endangerment law, aggravated assault with a firearm, and interfering with emergency communication-simple. Bail has not been set at this time.
Austin Taylor Currie, 27, Palestine, LA, was arrested on October 10, 2022, at 6:32 pm for possession of schedule IV drugs (2 counts) and possession of drug paraphernalia. Currie also held a warrant out of Texas for failure to appear on the charge of forgery. Bail has not been set at this time.
All persons arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
