The Franklin Police Department responded to 13 complaints over the past 24 hours and made the following arrests:
Albert Walter, 45, of Plantation Teche Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 10, 2022, at 4:55 AM, on a warrant dated June 9, 2022, for criminal trespassing, and a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of simple burglary. Walter was additionally arrested on the charge of simple burglary. Walter was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
Kristin Belanger, 35, of Sterling Rd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 10, 2022, at 4:24 PM, on warrants for 15th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of burned tail light, no driver’s license, and issuing worthless checks. Belanger was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Jon Ireland, 37, of Antigo Alley, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 10, 2022, at 8:57 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended and improper lane usage. Ireland was additionally arrested on the charges of resisting an officer with force – 2 counts, battery of a police officer – 2 counts, simple criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace by intoxication. Ireland was booked, processed, and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.
