PIERRE PART – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Drew Michael Sparks, 32, of 3603 Jean Street, Lot 2, Pierre Part, LA, on charges related to a sex crimes complaint in the Pierre Part area.
On September 13, 2024, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a complaint in reference to alleged inappropriate sexual acts upon a juvenile under the age of thirteen.
A forensic interview of the victim was conducted at which time Drew Michael Sparks was identified as the suspect who committed the rape upon the juvenile victim.
Through investigation, detectives secured additional evidence related to inappropriate sexual contact by Drew Michael Sparks upon the victim.
At the conclusion of the investigation, warrants were obtained for the arrest of Drew Michael Sparks for the crimes alleged.
Drew Michael Sparks was arrested on Wednesday evening and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on charges of:
*First Degree Rape of a Person Under the Age of Thirteen
Drew Michael Sparks remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
