PIERRE PART – Sheriff Leland Falcon of Assumption Parish announced the arrest of 37-year-old Jacob Timothy Dugas residing at 1014 Bayou Drive West, Pierre Part, LA. Dugas was apprehended on a felony warrant for Domestic Abuse Battery of a Pregnant Female, stemming from an incident that occurred on August 8th, 2023.
On October 2nd, 2023, deputies were dispatched to Teddy Street in Pierre Part in regard to a related complaint. Upon arrival, deputies spoke with the complainant who revealed that she was Jacob Timothy Dugas’ domestic partner during the time of the alleged crime. She further explained that as they returned home from visiting family, Dugas became extremely angry and physically assaulted her.
Subsequently, deputies collected physical evidence supporting the allegations and obtained an arrest warrant for Jacob Timothy Dugas. On Tuesday evening, Dugas was taken into custody at a residence on Bayou Drive and charged with Domestic Abuse Battery of a Pregnant Female.
As of now, Jacob Timothy Dugas remains detained at the Assumption Parish Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
