Paincourtville Man Arrested After Burglary Investigation

PAINCOURTVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon has announced the arrest of Travis Nathaniel Williams, a 24-year-old resident of 6012 Grant Road, Paincourtville, LA. The arrest follows a burglary investigation that took place near Paincourtville.

The investigation was initiated by Sheriff’s deputies on January 23, 2024, in the 200 block of LA 403, Paincourtville. The victim lodged a complaint regarding the theft of multiple firearms from his residence, which is believed to have occurred on or around January 21, 2024.

Detectives carried out an investigation and uncovered various locations pertinent to the case at hand. Subsequently, Travis Nathaniel Williams was identified as a suspect, and arrest warrants were obtained.

In custody since Monday, Williams has been booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center, facing charges of simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He will remain incarcerated pending a bond hearing.

Through the collective efforts of detectives and deputies, some of the stolen goods were successfully recovered at a location near Paincourtville, specifically on Thomas Street.
