A child who was reported missing from his home in East Feliciana Parish on Monday was safely located Tuesday evening in Belle River.  Louisiana State Police issued a Level II Endangered Missing Child Advisory for 2- year old Carson Hollingworth Monday afternoon on behalf of East Feliciana Sheriff’s Office. The child was reported missing from his home in Slaughter and was believed to be in imminent danger. Carson was last seen with his father, Orin Hollingsworth, at 4:30 pm on Sunday.

Following a 24-hour search for the child, Carson Hollingsworth was found Tuesday night in good condition at a camp in Belle River and was being reunited with his mother. A concerned citizen had become aware of the search for Carson from media reports and provided the information which led to his recovery. Orin Hollingsworth was also located and arrested for Cruelty to a Juvenile.

The East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office,  Louisiana State Police, U.S. Marshal’s Service,  Saint Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, Zachary Police Department, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office and Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries all cooperated in the investigation into Carson’s disappearance. East Feliciana Sheriff Jeff Travis thanked all the agencies involved, the news media and concerned citizens who helped bring the matter to a successful conclusion.
