Stanley Anthony Louviere, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, passed away at the age of 90.

A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a man of great faith, joined his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at Franklin Foundation Hospital surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his four sons, Skee Louviere and wife Cathy, Ladd Louviere and wife Pam, Blaine Louviere and wife Rachel, Corey Louviere and wife Carol,and three daughters, Amber Soprano and husband Kim, Mikelyn Louviere and companion Charles Percle, and Jondalyn Louviere; his 20 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; and many other family members.

He is proceeded in death by his loving wife, Betty Frederick Louviere of 60 years, son, Reese Anthony Louviere, parents, Leonard and Theresa Guillotte Louviere; five siblings, George Louviere, Effie Louviere, Victor Louviere, Nolan “Nat Louviere, and Roland LuLu” Louviere; as well as many friends.

Stanley had many loves in his life.  He loved his family, dancing with his wife Betty, traveling with friends, attending carnival balls, playing ball, coaching his children’s teams, hunting, cutting his grass, having a garden, telling stories and simply just having fun.  He also had a love for his country where he served in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer in the Korean War.  He retired from Shell Oil.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 31, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Assumption in Franklin, with Fr. Joel Faulk officiating.  Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at which time Mass will begin. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Perpetual Park Cemetery. The family encourages those attending to wear face coverings.

A special thanks to his daughter and care-giver Jondalyn and her two sons, Lunde and Logan for the loving care given over the past several years.

His sense of humor, stories, dedication to his family and Christian values will remain in our hearts always.
