Man Arrested on Felony Domestic Charges in Bertrandville

NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon announced the arrest of 25-year-old Tyrese Jeremiah Davis of 5416 Highway 1, Bertrandville, LA, on felony domestic charges stemming from an incident that took place on December 29, 2023.

On the day in question, deputies were called to the scene at the 100 block of Southall Street regarding a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, they spoke with the complainant who shared that her live-in partner, with whom she is currently separated from, entered her home uninvited and sat on her sofa. Tyrese Jeremiah Davis, now identified as the suspect, reportedly attacked the victim in the face multiple times. The victim tried to leave but was restrained by Davis who continued assaulting her. It was noted that minor children were present during the incident.

Deputies investigating the case found injuries on the victim in line with domestic abuse allegations. Consequently, an arrest warrant was issued for Tyrese Jeremiah Davis.

Davis was apprehended on January 1, 2024, at a home on Southall Street and subsequently booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center. He faces charges of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment and remains incarcerated, awaiting a bond hearing.
