As the weather begins to cool down, the community is reminded that chilly days are just around the corner. West St. Mary Parish recently experienced a cold snap, leading to a high demand for heaters among elderly and low-income families.
The last batch of heaters was distributed during this period, and now there’s an urgent need to replenish the stock. The Emergency Aid Center organization is kindly requesting your assistance in ensuring that neighbors stay warm this winter season.
Donations of electric heaters are being accepted at their office located at:
106 Commercial Street
Monday through Thursday
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Additionally, monetary contributions are also welcome for the purchase of heaters. These can be sent via mail to:
