Larry Smith, age 71, a native of Alexandria and resident of Pierre Part, La. passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
Larry is survived by his son, Matthew Smith; his brother, David Smith (Laure); and his mother, Melba Landry Smith.
Larry is preceded in death by his son, Shannon Smith; father, Jeffrey B. Smith, Sr.; his brother, Jeffrey B. Smith, Jr.; his sister, Melba Smith Johnson.

Larry fell in love with nature and the outdoors at a young age. He loved living on Lake Verret and the Atchafalaya Basin, and dedicated as much time as he could to fishing, hunting, collecting outdoor art, and searching for antiques and unique collectables. He was also an avid LSU fan.
The family would like to thank the staff at Legacy Nursing Home and Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice for their care and compassion for Larry.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to ask for donations to a charity of their own chosing.
