Kim Jubert Aucoin, the center and light of her family’s world, passed away on July 25, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born to Ray Lucy and Herman Jubert on June 10, 1952, Kim was always a welcoming, loving person. She enjoyed people and invited everyone into her life and her home. She made connections with them all…connections that would last a lifetime, not only for her lifetime, but for her daughter’s and granddaughters’ lifetime.
Kim loved her family so dearly. She devoted her life to taking care of her husband, daughter, and four grandchildren. Everything she did or thought about was always with them in her heart and soul.
Anyone who knew Kim, knew she loved to celebrate and party. She made celebrations happen for everyone! She enjoyed the happiness and fun life had to offer…right to the very end.
Friends and family would literally come from thousands of miles away to celebrate her or even just to celebrate with her. Her pureness was like no other. Kim was happy and wanted nothing more than for her loved ones to be happy too. She was always there for everyone, even when it was extremely hard for her. She overcame some of the hardest happenings, and illnesses throughout her life, yet she filled her life with traveling, partying, and being there for others. She did not waste a moment of it. Kim’s life is, and has always been, worth celebrating, and she shall never be forgotten.
Kim is survived by her exceptionally devoted husband, Dewey Joseph Aucoin Jr., who has been by her side and spent his life making sure she was taken care of; her daughter, Kayla Aucoin Cheramie and husband, Paul E. Cheramie (the best son-in-law Kim could ever ask for as she would say); four granddaughters, Ranilie, Noelle, Paulie Ella, and Lucy Cheramie; and a brother, Gregory Jubert. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Ray Jubert.
In true Kim fashion, she requested that there not be a funeral, but instead a Celebration of Life Party! On August 3, 2024 all friends and family are welcome to celebrate her life at the Clarion Inn in Morgan City beginning at 4:00pm.
