It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful Jada Gloria Mallet Bernadou who passed away unexpectedly at the age of 35 on Thursday, March 24, 2022, at her home in Patterson. Jada was born on July 5, 1986 in Houston, Texas and was one of four children born to John Keith Mallet and Karen Belaire.

Not only was Jada a loving and devoted wife, mom, daughter, sister, and friend, but she was a protector as well. She was the most caring, loving, nurturing soul you could meet and now the most beautiful angel who will forever be missed.

Her memory will forever be cherished in the hearts of her husband, Justin Paul Bernadou; their children, Alexis Bernadou, Landon Bernadou, Logan Bernadou, and Jordyn Bernadou; her mother, Karen Belaire; her brothers, Jamie Mallet and Colin Mallet; her sister, Amanda Mallet; her mother-in-law and her husband, Brenda Walker and Leroy Walker, her father-in-law and his wife, Henry Bernadou and Veronica Bernadou; her sister-in-law, Amanda Bernadou; her nephews and niece, Trey Bernadou, Charlie Kelly III, Addison Mallet, Henry Mallet, Asher Mallet, and George Mallet; as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Keith Mallet; maternal grandparents, Al Belaire and Anna Lee LaJaunie Belaire; and her paternal grandparents, Clarence Hugh Mallet and Melba Guilbeau Mallet.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson on Monday, March 28th, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM. Following the service she will be laid to rest in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Steven Kelly of Bayou Vista Baptist Church will conduct the services. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Landon Bernadou, Trey Bernadou, Charlie Kelly III, Jamie Mallet, Colin Mallet, Kevin Quigley, Alex Oschmann, Jeremy Mitchell, Sherman Marcantel, and Vinnie Byrd.
