Gov. Landry Appoints New Leadership to Enhance Louisiana’s Natural Resources

Thibodeaux, LA – In an update from Nicholls State University, Gov. Jeff Landry revealed key appointments to state environmental and resource agencies. In significant roles, Gordy Dove takes on the mantle of CPRA Chairman, Glenn Ledet Jr. steps in as CPRA’s Executive Director, Tony Alford assumes chairmanship of the Advisory Commission, Ben Bienvenu becomes Commissioner of Conservation, and Dustin Davidson is named Chief of Staff for the Department of Natural Resources.

Gordon E. Dove expressed his commitment to Louisiana’s environmental heritage: “I’m dedicated to ensuring our state’s environment is preserved effectively and affordably for generations.” Construing a vision for growth, Glenn Ledet Jr. added, “I’m eager to work with Governor Landry on fostering sustainable coastal efforts.” Tony Alford shared his anticipation: “I am grateful for Gov. Landry’s trust and aim to extend the coastal restoration efforts practiced in our local communities.”

Highlighting the balance between conservation and economic development, Benjamin Bienvenu remarked, “I intend to harmonize our natural resource conservation with creating lasting economic value.” Emphasizing Louisiana’s significance in energy production and ecology, Dustin Davidson said, “It’s an honor to help secure Louisiana’s influential role in supporting diverse lifestyles across the globe.”
