NAPOLEONVILLE – Assumption Parish Sheriff Leland Falcon reports the arrest of Julian Carnell Earl, Jr., 23, of 8370 South Street, Gonzales, LA, on felony charges arising from multiple vehicle burglary investigations which were initiated by Sheriff’s detectives in the Lillian Drive area of Plattenville, LA.
One of the complainants reported that on February 25, 2024, her vehicle was burglarized and shortly thereafter, she received electronic communications advising her that there were fraudulent financial transactions which had occurred on an access card owned by her.
There were two other vehicle burglaries in the Lillian Drive area in which cash was stolen.
Detectives determined that an access card which was part of this investigation, had been used at three separate businesses in Ascension Parish.
Detectives were able to secure electronic evidence which led to Julian Carnell Earl, Jr. being identified as a suspect in the automobile burglaries in Assumption Parish as well as the unauthorized use of the stolen access cards in Ascension Parish.
On April 10, 2024, detectives secured arrest warrants for Julian Carnell Earl, Jr in connection with these crimes.
On March 22, 2025, the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified that Julian Carnell Earl, Jr., was in custody in Ascension Parish on local charges in that jurisdiction.
On May 29, 2025, Julian Carnell Earl, Jr. was transported to the Assumption Parish Detention Center at which time he was charged on counts of:
*Identity Theft
*Credit Card Fraud by Persons Authorized to Provide Goods and Services
*Simple Burglary of a Motor Vehicle – 3 Counts
Julian Carnell Earl, Jr. was returned to the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office. Once the Ascension Parish charges are satisfied, Julian Carnell Earl, Jr. will be returned to the custody of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office at which time he will be incarcerated in lieu of bond.
