A Franklin man has been arrested on multiple felony charges stemming from a domestic incident that occurred earlier this year in Napoleonville, according to the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff Leland Falcon said deputies responded to a residence in the 500 block of Owens Street on May 17, 2026, after receiving a report of a protective order violation. The victim told deputies that Ray Jovan Robertson, 37, had attempted to force his way into the home despite an active protective order.

By the time deputies arrived, Robertson had already left the area.

During the investigation, deputies confirmed the protective order was active and determined Robertson had allegedly attempted to contact the victim by phone 30 times. Investigators also found evidence that he had attempted to remove a window air conditioning unit in an effort to gain entry into the residence.

Following the investigation, arrest warrants were issued for Robertson.

On Monday morning, deputies arrested Robertson in Napoleonville. He was booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center on the following charges:

Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling
Violation of a Protective Order (30 counts)
Simple Criminal Damage to Property

Robertson remains incarcerated pending a bond hearing.
