Chitimacha Police Chief Hal Hutchinson reports the following arrests:
On 2-3-21, Lester Edmond, 62, 1711 West Ibert Street, Franklin, was arrested for theft and released on a summons. Officers responded to a Tribal business in reference to a theft. During the investigation, it was learned Edmond was involved and was arrested.
On 2-3-21, Larry Burgess, 83, Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, was issued a summons for solicitation of prostitution. This arrest stemmed from an ongoing investigation.
On 2-3-21, Kayla Pope, 31, Nikki Lane, Charenton, was arrested for criminal trespass and released on a summons. Officers responded to a Tribal residence in reference to a trespassing complaint. During the investigation, it was learned Pope was involved but had already left the premises. Contact was made with Pope and she turned herself into the Chitimacha Police Department and was arrested.
