𝐁𝐄𝐑𝐖𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐌𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐈𝐍𝐕𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐈𝐍𝐓𝐎 𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐄𝐗𝐔𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐔𝐂𝐓 𝐎𝐅 𝐀 𝐉𝐔𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐋𝐄

On October 26, 2026, the Berwick Police Department received a complaint regarding inappropriate behavior involving a juvenile by a family member over the course of the past few years.

Upon receiving the complaint, investigators with the Berwick Police Department immediately initiated an investigation into the allegations. Through the course of the investigation, 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐦 𝐃𝐮𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐤, 𝐋𝐨𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐚, was identified as a suspect.

As investigators continued gathering information and evidence, on Friday October 31, 2026, an arrest warrant was obtained for Dupont, along with a search warrant for a residence located on Robicheaux Alley in Berwick.

During the execution of the search warrant, investigators located Dupont at the residence, where he was taken into custody without incident. Investigators also recovered additional evidence connected to the ongoing investigation.

Dupont was subsequently transported to the Berwick Police Department, where he was booked on the following charge:

• 𝐎𝐧𝐞 (𝟏) 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐉𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐥𝐞

Dupont is currently being housed at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center where bond has been set at $100,000.00.

This investigation remains active and ongoing, and additional charges are possible as investigators continue reviewing evidence and following up on information obtained during the investigation.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐫 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤, 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐝𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐠𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐝. 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟 𝐇𝐞𝐧𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞.
