HOUMA, La. — A 33-year-old Chauvin woman has been arrested following an investigation into an alleged sexual relationship with a juvenile male, according to Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet.
Ashley Sevin Guidry faces charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile, indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor. Authorities said she also faces an additional charge unrelated to the investigation, but did not identify that charge.
The investigation began shortly after 1 a.m. on October 10, when deputies responded to a Houma residence after receiving information about the alleged relationship.
Special Victims Unit detectives took over the case. According to the Sheriff’s Office, investigators gathered digital evidence and conducted interviews that supported the allegations.
Guidry was booked into the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. As of the Sheriff’s Office’s October 13 announcement, she remained jailed on a $300,000 bond.
Authorities are withholding the juvenile’s identity to protect his privacy. The investigation remains active.
Soignet asked the public to respect the privacy of the juvenile and his family and commended detectives for their work on the case.
