Boater Education Class Scheduled in Pierre Part Later This Month

PIERRE PART — The Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office is notifying the public about an upcoming Boater Education Class being offered by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.

The class will be conducted by Agent Jake Darden on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Pierre Part Volunteer Fire Department, located at 2552 Lee Drive in Pierre Part.

Officials say the course is limited to 30 participants, and those planning to attend are encouraged to register early.

Participants are asked to bring their own food and drinks for the day and remain attentive throughout the class to help keep the course on schedule.
