BAYOU L’OURSE, La. — According to the Bayou L’Ourse Volunteer Fire Department, atapproximately 7:14 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to a report of a camper on fire in the area of Landry Court.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they found an older-style camper fully engulfed in flames. Crews were able to quickly bring the fire under control, preventing further damage.
No injuries were reported to firefighters or residents. Unfortunately, several pet reptiles inside the camper did not survive the fire.
The cause of the fire has not been released.
