WHAT: For the Cold Weather Advisory, very cold wind chillsnranging from 13 to 26 degrees expected. For the Extreme Cold Watch, dangerously cold wind chills ranging from 0 to 10 possible.

WHERE: Portions of central, south central, southwest, and westncentral Louisiana and southeast Texas.

WHEN: For the Cold Weather Advisory, from 6 PM Saturday to noon CST Sunday. For the Extreme Cold Watch, from Sunday eveningnthrough Monday morning.

IMPACTS: Frostbite and hypothermia will occur if unprotected ski

is exposed to these temperatures. An extended period of freezingntemperatures could cause ruptured water pipes.

Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you mustngo outside.nnUse caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, anhat, and gloves.nnKeep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animalsnhave a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.nnMake frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensurenportable heaters are used correctly.
