On August 23, 2025, at approximately 11:04 PM, the Franklin Police Department responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the area of Seventh Street and Ninth Street. One victim was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition.
The following arrest stems from that incident.
Taylor Coleman, 19, of Martin Luther King Blvd., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 26, 2025, at 5:30 PM, on the charges of attempted second degree murder and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Coleman was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
