The Franklin Police Department responded to 45 calls for service over the past weekend and made the following arrests:
Stacey Grubb, 44, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 8, 2025, at 9:14 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charge of control of air pollution from outdoor burning. Grubb was booked, processed, and held on a $1,500.00 bond.
Cory Pierce, 38, of Iberia St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 8, 2025, at 9:50 PM, on the charge of violation of protective order. Pierce was additionally arrested on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of possession of schedule II controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Pierce was booked, processed, and held on an $11,000.00 bond.
August Gloskey, 65, of Jekyl Ln., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 9, 2025, at 7:35 PM, on the charge of obscenity. Gloskey was booked, processed, and held on a $5,000.00 bond.
Tempestt Thomas, 34, of Bayouview Dr., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 9, 2025, at 8:54 PM, on the charge of simple criminal damage to property. Thomas was booked, processed, and held on a $2,000.00 bond.
Cord Jones, 38, of Thomas St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 10, 2025, at 7:28 PM, on a warrant for 16th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of failure to yield to emergency vehicle and operating a vehicle while license is suspended. Jones was booked, processed, and held on a $1,500.00 bond.
Juvenile was arrested on August 10, 2025, at 11:53 PM, on the charge of ungovernable juvenile.
Joshua Conner, 42, of Eighth St., Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 11, 2025, at 1:47 AM, on the charges of careless operation, driving under suspension, no insurance, and possession of alcoholic beverage in motor vehicle. Conner was additionally arrested on a warrant for 15th Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of following too close and driving under suspension. Conner was booked, processed, and held with no bond set at the time of press release.
Chief Cedric Handy
