Kenny Lee Guillot, 88, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Carpenter House in Baton Rouge.

Kenny was born August 21, 1936, in Berwick, the son of John Volsie Guillot and Virginia Mount Guillot.

Kenny was a proud veteran of the United States Army, where he served with honor. After his military service, he became a skilled Automatic Control Repair Man in the oil industry, earning the respect and gratitude of colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Kenny was a master wood craftsman whose talent for creating beautiful works of art from wood brought joy to many. He was also an avid fisherman, finding peace and solace in the serene waters he loved to explore. A man of deep faith, Kenny was a strong member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and drew strength from his beliefs. He devoted his life to his family, leaving a legacy as a loving father and as a cherished grandfather to his grandchildren. Kenny’s warmth, wisdom, and kindness made him not only a great father but also a dear friend to many.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his son, Garrett Guillot and wife Tressie of Berwick; daughter, Kellie Myers and husband Jonathan of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, Adam Guillot, Grant Guillot, Hailie Myers Patel, and Thomas Myers; 12 great-grandchildren, Breanna, Reesa, Blair, John, Reid, Lainey, Seth, Millie, Rory, Asher, Emrys, and Palmer.

Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Geraline Boudreaux Guillot; two brothers, Reginald and Harlan Guillot; two sisters, Kathleen Vice and Joy Justilian.

The family would like to send a special thanks to Kenny’s caregivers at Maisen Jardin, Garden View in Baton Rouge, The Carpenter House in Baton Rouge, and St. Joseph Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Garrett Guillot, Adam Guillot, Grant Guillot, Jonathan Myers, Thomas Myers, and Kenny Zimmer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon, Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Father Thainese Alphonse officiating, with a rosary being recited at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church from 9:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. After Mass, Kenny will be laid to rest in the Berwick Cemetery with his wife, Geraline, where military honors will be rendered by the East St. Mary Honor Guard.
