St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Jamarion Jamal Gabriel, 17,ย Baldwin, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2024, at 5:35 pm on a warrant for disturbing the peace-fighting/simple assault and cyberbullying. Bail has not been set at this time.
David Eduardo Hunte Jr., 27,ย New Orleans, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2024, at 6:38 pm on warrants out of Harris County, Texas, and Bexar County, Texas, on the following charges:
- Violation of protective orders
- Burglary-simple
- Assault-aggravated
- Simple battery of the infirmed
Hunte is being held for another agency.
Myles Deshon Roberson, 25,ย Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2024, at 10:30 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of flight from an officer and window tint/obscuring windshield/window view. Roberson was released on a $500 bond.

Gene Butts, 36,ย Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on April 23, 2024, at 9:09 pm on a Jeanerette P.D. warrant for failure to appear on the charge of domestic abuse battery. Butts is being held for another agency.
