On Sunday, January 7, 2024, at approximately 1:07 pm, deputies responded to a residence in Centerville on a welfare concern call. Upon arrival, they found a man at the residence wounded by gunfire. The victim was transported to a hospital in critical condition.
Detectives were called to the scene and an investigation into the incident is ongoing. A person of interest has been taken into custody.
