Weather-Related Early School Closures

Due to the possibility of severe weather late Monday afternoon, January 8, 2024, St. Mary Parish Public Schools will dismiss early. Middle and High School at 12 PM and Elementary at 12:30 PM. All bus routes will run accordingly. There will be no afterschool activities or events.

All St. Martin Parish Schools, including Stephensville Elementary, will close at Noon on Monday.

Immanuel Christian School will close at 11:30 am.

Central Catholic grades 6 – 12 will dismiss at 12:20 pm, with grades PreK 3 – 5 dismissing at 12:30 pm. Buses will run at 12:30 pm.  There will be no aftercare or extra curricular activities.

St. John Elementary will dismiss at 12:15 pm, with Hanson Memorial High School dismissing at 12:20 pm.  Buses will run.

V. B. Glencoe Charter School will have an early dismissal on Monday, January 8, 2024, due to the anticipated inclement weather.

Pre-K – 12th grade will be dismissed at 12:30 PM.

Please make arrangements to pick up your child(ren) from school at 12:30 PM, or from their perspective bus stops approximately 3 hours prior to their regular times.

All after-school activities, including the scheduled basketball game, will be canceled

Assumption Parish Schools will be closed all day on Monday.

For Lafourche Parish Schools:

The following dismissal schedule will be implemented:
1. High Schools will release at 11:15 a.m.
2. Middle Schools will release at 11:45 a.m. including Bayou Boeuf Elementary and Galliano Elementary.
3. Elementary Schools will release at 12:30 p.m.
4. All offices of the LPSB will close at 1:00 p.m.
All after-school activities have been cancelled for Monday, January 8, 2024.
All schools and offices will resume a normal schedule on Tuesday, January 9, 2024.
