Napoleonville’s Council convened for a special meeting earlier today to address issues related to the Automotive Photo Speed Enforcement Program. After an executive session, the council decided to suspend the ordinance concerning speed enforcement, effectively ending the entire program.

Sheriff Falcon commended the Mayor and Council for recognizing that the program wasn’t beneficial to any party involved. As requested by the Mayor and Council, the Sheriff’s office will continue providing traffic enforcement services in Napoleonville whenever necessary. The local authorities plan to collaborate in their efforts to improve safety in the village.
